Legal translation is a category where the stakes of error are high in a very specific sense. A contract clause that is subtly mistranslated can create an obligation that was never agreed to. A court document that deviates from the source meaning can affect the outcome of a proceeding. A notarial act that loses a legally significant detail can invalidate an entire transaction.

We work with contracts of all kinds: commercial contracts, employment contracts, distribution and agency agreements, licensing agreements, real estate transactions, and corporate documents. We also handle judicial documentation: court pleadings, judgments, orders, and tribunal documents. Notarial acts, powers of attorney, declarations, and apostille documentation are also part of our regular work.

Our legal translators hold law degrees or have worked as legal professionals before qualifying as translators. For Italian-English legal work, we work with translators who have experience in both Italian civil law and common law frameworks, which is relevant given the volume of cross-border work between Italy and English-speaking jurisdictions.

For sworn translation requirements, our translators are registered with the Tribunale di Agrigento and other relevant Italian courts. We provide the complete sworn translation package with the translator declaration and, where required, can advise on apostille and legalisation procedures.
