Sicilia Tourism Board

The Sicilia Tourism Board needed to refresh their entire multilingual visitor-facing content after five years without a formal review. The content covered 34 heritage sites including the Valley of the Temples and the Baroque towns of the Val di Noto, three tourism districts, seasonal event programmes, and the complete digital marketing content for three target markets. The challenge beyond translation was adapting the Italian cultural context for northern European visitors who had very different prior knowledge of Sicilian history. We built a heritage terminology guide in the first month that covered all the key historical terms, architectural vocabulary, and cultural references, and used it consistently across all 34 sites.
Tribunale di Agrigento

The Tribunale di Agrigento handles a significant volume of immigration-related proceedings, reflecting the geographic position of the province. Many of these cases involve Arabic-language documentation from North African countries. A separate stream of cross-border commercial and civil proceedings involves English documentation from UK and Irish parties. We provide sworn Italian-Arabic and Italian-English translation under ongoing retainer, with turnaround times calibrated to court filing deadlines. All translators are registered with the tribunal and hold the relevant sworn translation qualification under Italian law.

Mazzola Editore publishes contemporary fiction with a strong focus on Sicilian writers. They had been receiving international interest in several titles but could not move forward without English translations of sufficient quality for the literary market. Literary translation has specific requirements that most translation work does not: the translator must understand not just the language but the literary conventions, the authorial voice, and the cultural register. One of the four titles received a shortlisting for a national prize during the translation period, which made the delivery timeline more urgent. We delivered all four titles within the agreed schedule and three have since been submitted to agents.
